Snake Eyes GBU Forged Wedge Head

  • Billet Forged face and hosel from S45C carbon steel give the soft feel that helped Snake Eyes wedges develop a solid reputation.
  • Hollow core and two-piece forged construction allow the sole width to be increased dramatically to make it easier to blast shots out of bunkers.
  • The dynamic sole bounce is magnified in the sand due to the width of the sole, yet it is easily played from the fairway or rough.
  • Comments generated from extensive player testing have been extremely positive.
  • Many stated that the GBU is simply the easiest-to-hit wedge they have ever used, especially when it comes to bunker shots.
  • 56°, 7° Bounce
  • 60°, 7° Bounce

Snake Eyes 653TM (Tour Milled) Wedges

  • 653TM wedge heads are manufactured by both an initial investment cast step to get the beginning shape of the wedge, and then true forging with an 800 ton forging press to compact the material and produce a soft, solid feel.
  • Created from a proprietary soft steel named 400-18 LDS (Low Ductile Steel). This steel is 10% lighter by volume compared to carbon or stainless steel used in most irons and wedges.
  • The biggest obstacle designers face in a wedge is achieving the shape, size and thickness desired while also obtaining the correct final weight. In the case of the 653TM wedge, no sacrifices are needed.
  • Face is finely machine milled, hence the 653TM (Tour Milled) name, to ensure perfect flatness, consistent spin and exact scorelines.
  • Each port in the back of the head can house up to 6 grams using the Golfsmith hosel weights. Larger nylon-based weights can also be ground down to fit in the ports.

Snake Eyes 650PM (Powdered Metal) Wedges

  • True billet forging — a mainstay of the Snake Eyes wedge line for years — has long been considered the best method for constructing tour-quality wedges.
  • Snake Eyes has discovered a new forging process that much improves the final product. Snake Eyes 650W PM Forged wedges are forged from billets of carbon steel that are formed from powdered metal (PM).
  • This special blend of steel is 6.5 percent less dense than normal carbon steel due to its higher aluminum content, allowing for added thickness in the lower half of the wedge design.
  • The PM carbon steel used in the 650W series wedges also features a higher copper content allowing tighter compaction of the material, more shock absorption, even softer feel and custom loft/lie adjustments of up to 3 degrees.
  • 48°, 5°/4° Bounce (Chrome Only)
  • 52°, 6°/5° Bounce
  • 56°, 12°/10° Bounce
  • 60°, 10°/8° Bounce

    Snake Eyes 600w Forged Wedges

  • Precision forged from billets of S45C carbon steel, the 600 series wedges deliver optimal feel for a clean muscle back design.
  • Compared to the traditional 2- or 3-step forging process, the new 5-step forging procedure produces more accurate raw forgings, tightly compacts the metal to eliminate voids and significantly reduces the need to grind and polish for a better consistency from head to head.
  • With a wider sole width than the original Snake Eyes Forged Wedge and a tour beveled sole design, the Snake Eyes 600 wedges deliver exceptional playability from the sand, the rough and the fairway.
  • Bounce angles keep up with current trends set by PGA Tour players. For example, the 60° wedge is designed with 10° of bounce for improved play from the sand and the rough.
  • 600WB wedges are finished with a black oxide finish that has a high-gloss 'oily' appearance. The black oxide finish does wear off over time and surface beneath will rust, leaving a well-worn appearance that has become quite popular with Tour players.
  • "U" grooves are CNC machine-milled for ultimate accuracy.
  • 52°, 6° Bounce
  • 56°, 12° Bounce
  • 60°, 10° Bounce
  • Price: $109

Snake Eyes 600c (Cavity) & 600b (Blade) Forged Irons

  • Two exquisite finishes: traditional chrome and new black, nickel-chrome.
  • Forged from the highest quality S45C carbon steel under exacting temperatures and pressure of 100,000 pounds per square inch. The result is a high-performance wedge with the highly-desirable, medium-soft feel (Rockwell hardness rating of HRB85) of forged carbon steel.
  • Snake Eyes wedges also feature the "preworn" sole which promotes solid contact on shots played from any lie. Bounce angles are reduced as the sole gets closer to the hosel, keeping the leading edge closer to the ground when the face is open -- reducing the chance of "skulled" finesse shots around the green.
  • New Forged Black wedges are subjected to a special CAPD (Cathodic Arc Plasma Deposition) Titanium-Nitride treatment which employs a vacuum arc to create a vapor emission of the compound. Under tight controls, this process provides both added wear resistance and the exquisite dark finish. A tungsten-carbide and diamond-powder face blasting treatment creates enhanced ball control and a diamond-like look on the face.
  • New, improved forging process produces higher densities, less grinding and polishing, more head-to-head consistency and better maintains the clubhead shapes and profiles.
  • Black finish available in 52, 56 or 60 degrees in Men's right hand only
  • 50°, 5°/2° Bounce
  • 52°, 6°/3° Bounce
  • 56°, 12°/8° Bounce
  • 58°, 9°/6° Bounce
  • 60°,  8°/5° Bounce
